Cleaning the Elbrus mountain.
PROJECT
Mount Elbrus is the highest peak in Europe, and one of the Seven Summits. It's located just in Russia, though it is only a few miles/kilometers from the border of Georgia. Though Elbrus is the highest summit in Europe, it is one of the technically easiest of the higher peaks on the continent. The mountain is in the Caucasus Mountains, which is one of the most rugged mountain ranges in the world. The aim of this camp organised in cooperation with Russian Regional Fund of UGRA and brings the idea to save sustainable development of flora and fauna in the nature of Elbrus Mountain. This camp will be run on the mountain Elbrus. It is an amazing and picturesque place, where you can find rare animals and plants as leopard and wild goat, which are in Red Book.
WORK
Volunteers need to collect the garbage in different mountains: Elbrus, Cheget and some places near the Elbrus. Typical working hours per day 6 hours per day (for example: 9 -12 & 13-16).
ACCOMADATION
The accommodation conditions are in comfort houses, beds are provided. Please bring your sleeping bag for the camping. Toilets and showers are available. There is a kitchen with all necessary equipment for cooking. Ingredients for food will be provided. Volunteers will be served food cooked by locals for lunches during the week days otherwise it has to be cooked by the volunteers
LOCATION

TERMINAL
To reach the mountain, fly to Mineral Vody (starts at ~$70 with departure from Moscow), then take a bus in the village of Terskol. SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS
You have to bring working clothes, warm clothes as nights can be rather chilly, wet weather clothing, closed boots, sleeping bag, swimwear, towel, inspect spray.
LEISURE TIME
We provide 3 days off to visit waterfall, different mountains and lakes nearby. In the evenings of the working days sauna, camp fires, hiking, etc will be organized.
